Halloween Chili

2 lbs ground beef
1 lb pork sausage
1 cup water
1 onion chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 28oz cans of Diced Tomatoes
1 8oz can of Tomato Sauce
½ tablespoon of ground cumin
½ tablespoon of dried oregano
½ teaspoon of chili powder
½ teaspoon of salt
2 15 oz cans of Kidney beans, drained
Brown Meat. Drain off fat. Add water and Onions. Cook until translucent.
Add Spices. Add Tomatoes and Sauce. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 45 min stirring occasionally.
Add Kidney beans and simmer an additional 15 min.
We have this with cheese and sour cream on top. Plus, of course, cornbread.
